Final Recap
Initial Concept:
After discussing what to make next and all of the considerations about the game mechanics we took the game mechanic reference from Ticket to Ride, a famous board game. The objective was for us to complete the given route and collect the most scores. The consideration was by looking at the mechanics, the game would more stand out because it's quite unique.

Initial Mechanism
  1. Draw Train Car Cards:

Players can draw train car cards from the face-up display or from the draw deck. These cards come in different colors, corresponding to the colored routes on the board.

  2. Claim a Route:

Players can use sets of train car cards of the same color to claim a route on the board. The number of cards required depends on the length and color of the route. Once a route is claimed, the player places their trains on it to signify ownership.

  3. Draw Destination Tickets:

Players can draw additional destination ticket cards, but they must keep at least one of the drawn tickets.

The design idea we were using is an elemental concept consisting of earth, wind, water, and fire. Every elemental represents a region and we come up with a back story about what is going on in this region and it sounds like this.

In a divided realm of Fire, Air, Water, and Earth nations, an unyielding war unfolds as each element fights fiercely for dwindling resources. Amidst the chaos and bloodshed, the promise of a chosen one fades, leaving the Elemental Realms locked in a relentless battle that could determine their collective destiny.

Sounds amazing right? the idea for the card was to represent the elements as well but in the add of rainbow that can be used as a substitute for the missing card. The elemental card or we call it orb is used to build a route by following the color on the map and matching up with the card you can complete it.

For the map this is the first concept

The downside of this map was you could easily block other players and you can't go anywhere. So we're revamp the map to make it more playable.

For the card we're using the post-it and drawing it and for the pieces, we're using a stick that's been cut. We ended up adding a chance card as a spice for the game. Also at first, we want to add designated elements to power up but it will require more improvement.

After all of this testing, there's an improvement that would be made by looking at the feedback.
The design will be utilized for further improvement

After some adjustment and refinement, we've finished the card design

And for the pieces or we called orb it will look like this

There are some limitations, however. There wasn’t enough budget to get the player pieces.
The onboarding of the game is quite confusing making it hard for players to really get into playing
The original version of the game took too long to finish, so we cut down on the number of tokens needed.
