Final Task

  • LECTURES

Visual Analysis:

Observation Observation means Closely looking at and indentify the visual elements in the design and try to

describe it carefully and accurate without reading the design first. AND observation means looking, and thinking, and finding good language

Analysis

Analysis is when you think your observation and try to make statements from the evidence. think about the specific visual elements and combine together and make it whole

Interpretation
In this final phase, you are to find the meaning and purpose of why the design was created by looking through trustworthy published sources.

  • TASK 3 / Visual Analysis
  • Rationale:
I choose this design because it was relatable to most of countries in this world, The issue of inequalities between 2 different economical suspect as always been a problem in this world, especially when greedy or corupt corporate/ governments want's more money and not distributing the air supply to the one who needs.

OBSERVATION

The format of this artwork is portrait and the art style feel like it’s sketch in a paper, the colour is blue that mostly representing wealthy people and the group off men with green, pants and white shirt, and red dressed woman and also a child with red t shirt, first thing that I see was huge man that we can conclude he was sitting at the chair and eating something at his table , there’s food and drink that looks over for him alone and there’s bread that looks cut in half and the breadcrumbs falling down. Meanwhile at the bottom of table there's many people holding a plate waiting the breadcrumbs. From my observation we can see the rich man have more control over the poor one and I also conclude that poor people doesn't have enough food to eat.

ANALYSIS

The principle that I found in this artwork is an emphasis feeling from the rich man because his proportion is big and at first we notice when we see this artwork is that man also if you can see there's emphasis also in the bottom of the artwork, there is a woman with red dress and a child with red shirt among all men. The repetition is there looking at the group of men at the bottom of the artwork with green pants and also the plate that they’re holding with the child and the woman got a repetition also. Visual hierarchy is there about the scale and size. We can see a movement from the breadcrumbs falling to the group of people

INTERPRETATION

When I found the full artwork there’s a word that representing economic inequality, “Crumbs for the People” means that poor people only deserve the crumbs or the leftover because cant afford the meal and also there’s many case when the aid from the government not enough or maybe misdirected. There’s also many case the aid support that's given to the citizen/people are not the same value as the budget from the government. All of that are the result of the never ending corruption, The money from budget for helping these people got cut or sometime the money from the budget even disappeared from the existence. The size of the big man and the people in the bottom of the artwork is different from each other because the big man has more power than the smaller people on the bottom, That’s why they can’t even seek for justice and freedom because the bigger man know’s he has more power and can do everything that he wants. Thats why in this world there’s still homelessness, poor people and malnutrition.

Visual reference:

Fig 1.2.2
  • 1st Sketch:
For the first sketch my concept is a rich guy stomping on a poor depressed guy, because in realities money can buy power and authority and of course what they're usually do with much power is oppressing the lower class, so they can have more power and more money also
Fig 1.3.1
  • 2nd Sketch:
The big man represents the condition of government in many countries that always ignoring the small people voices and didn't help anything as long as they're have enough money

Fig 1.3.2
  • 3rd Sketch
The meaning behind this is about the small people always chasing for money and didn't recognise that it's all a lie and no one ever reached there
Fig 1.3.3
  • FINAL SKETCH:
in the final sketch i want to talk about how governments always care about themselves even tho there's a chaos everywhere, they choose to escape the situation

  • First Outcome

  • Final Outcome
In the first outcome i think it was lack of shading and stuff so i added a little bit

Fig 1.5.2

TITLE:
(Not My Business)

For the final design i colour it and i made the rich guy more darker colour because i want to show how far the gap between the small people to the big man that's why also it related because rich people always want's to made the gap more far between 2 economic class and also why i made the background black because black is symbolises luxury. and also my. it's dark is because i wanted to make it feel dark and gloomy, I still left the outline there because i think it feels right to have in there because i would make it look very rough

FEEDBACK

Week 11: continue on the Analysis part but there is more part of observation that i need to move it to analysis

Week 12: i just found out that i did wrong with the sketch

Week 13: Go with the second sketch but add more details to it

Week 14: Just need to colour it and i'm done

REFLECTIONS

i love this project because it can open my eyes how i can i apply the design principle to make a design that can represent's the inequalities between w class of economy for example in my design is emphasis who can represent's how rich people can control the lower class because there's no equalities between 2 class and hopefully this design can open other mindset also
